Area 10 February 2024 Update
Despite this being a quiet time of the year, we have got together several times over the past month. Our first outing was to the Brooklands New Year’s Day Classic Gathering where all 12 of our AMOC passes were claimed by Area 10 Members, plus we had a couple of other Astons directed to our parking spot on the day, so we put on a good display.
Our January meeting was well-attended considering it was just two days before our annual dinner. Some 35 Members attended including Brian and Lee Taylor attending their first pub meeting and also John Grater who had flown in from Japan – not especially to attend our meeting, but we were pleased to see him and to hear about activities organised by AMOC Japan. John presented us with two AMOC Japan baseball caps which no doubt will appear as prizes later in the year.
We held our New Year Dinner on Saturday 13 January - it was attended by 73 Members and friends. Many thanks to Geoff and Carole Dische for organising such a successful event with excellent food and entertainment. We welcomed back the extraordinary string quartet Bowjangles who initially provided a gentle background to our drinks reception before launching into a lively sequence of music and songs between courses. A bit of confusion resulted in them serenading Geoff Dische with “Happy Birthday” but they subsequently tracked down the correct Jeff, me, and somehow enticed me to attempt to dance the can-can! Fortunately my energy levels were pretty high due to the amount of marmalade I had consumed recently. I cropped the image from Diane Cox's video on our Area 10 Facebook page.

They are offering coffee and chat in their showrooms, plus a few complimentary vehicle health checks, plus test drives of the DB12 and the DBX707.
