After almost 2 months of back to back events, its finally time to come up for air as we enter the family holiday season of July and August and very busy roads!
Area 00 has enjoyed a 007 driving mission to Ghent, Brussels and Bruges, swiftly followed by a 2 week trip from Aston Martin London to Marrakech, Aston Martin Casablanca and back via Valencia, the Algarve, Alentejo and Toledo.., followed immediately by the NC500 around the highlands, followed by supporting Jose and Maria on their third Mille Miglia as well as Wolfgang and Rob in both Brescia and Macerata with John Martin…
It was so great that so many flew in to join the driving group in Marrakech and a great weekend was had by all, including our surprise guests Greig and Karina for one night only!!
We also made it to the Honourable Artillery Company London Concours with Rory and Bertie (long time no see!), all thanks to Calleija.
We have just returned from Classic Le Mans all thanks to Rory in his V550 (i've always wanted one of these), and was great to see it in action on the open roads, together with Matt, Steven, Christian, Lorraine and the rest of the group! At the track was great to see Tom and Sue with Hedgehog, Jo and Jeff, Mike and Anne!
In the middle of all of this we still managed to hold our monthly drinks at the RAC on the terrace with David from Area 1, always a great evening!
A couple of weeks ago we joined Mike Neijhuis at Chevening House with a fantastic display in the house gardens complete with tea and cake, meeting so many lovely owners throughout the afternoon. A reminder of how great it is to build valued friendships and relationships at these events..
And so we lead into this week celebrating 110 years of Aston Martin at Silverstone, as well as featuring in a display of Bond Astons at a concert at Leeds Castle on Saturday evening…
The fun literally never stops…
So pleased to hear Jeremy and his DB5 will feature in a French TV feature currently in development.
And this is the time of year we start to think about next years big adventure in May 2024! The Bosphorus anyone?
But before that there is still lots to do, including our Snowdonia rally in September with Wheels of Thrill, our regular monthly drinks and our group F1 race viewing gatherings in Marylebone.
Planning has begun for this year’s Area 00 black tie Christmas dinner…
and finally, as a picture tells a thousand words and I am out of space, we have included a selection of photographic highlights from our recent adventures.
