I have just driven through Moreton in Marsh .. yet another housing development begins, more temporary traffic lights and cones, even longer traffic queues and deeper potholes … find a way round it! But do not despair .. here is the Area 22 calendar.… whilst it looks very short, there are three great events coming up.
Thursday this week is the monthly meeting at The Frogmill Inn. If you have not told Chris you are going then please do so now. We shall be showing a short video of the September Chateau and Caves Expedition to France.
Sunday 15 October is the South West Areas Show Off at the Five Zeros Supercar Barn, Bradford on Avon BA15 1TS. Although quite a drive for some of us, this is a great venue. This event can be booked on the AMOC website.
Tuesday 24 October is the visit to the Bremont Watch Company in Henley on Thames. Whilst fully booked now I am happy to take names for a reserve list or a return visit at some time.
Looking further ahead bookings are now being taken for the Area 22 Winter Gathering at the Frogmill Inn on Thursday 14 December. As the advert says, this will be a night of “Champagne, Dinner and Dancing”. Tickets are £65 a head with a non-returnable deposit due now. Several rooms for overnight stays are available to book direct with the Frogmill. This event is filling up fast so if you are intending to come along then please let me know at area22@amoc.org and I will send you the details.
