Spring is in the air, as well as ice, snow , high winds and flooding and added salt on the roads, but Area 00 held our first group drive out last Sunday thanks to Edward around Amberley, so I guess we can officially say the 2023 driving season has begun!
As I write this week, our monthly drinks are almost upon us to be held once again at the RAC Pall Mall. Last months well attended drinks was a truly great evening, one of the highlights being the arrival of Area 00 honey, courtesy of Graham which was a real treat for us all… Those bees are going to be kept busy in future!
A few weeks ago Area 00 attended the London Classic Car Show, as well as an F1 update drinks and dinner, as well as welcoming Rob back to London for a couple of months.
In the coming weeks, we look forward to visiting Aston Martin Works, a Black Tie dinner at the Honourable Artillery Company, a reception at Aston Martin London to mark the start of our Mayfair to Marrakech adventure as well toasting the Kings upcoming Coronation, and a planned weekend adventure to Brussels.
No doubts Area 00 will be present at Simply Aston and Goodwood Members meeting also…
Currently there is a lot of preparation work happening on our cars in preparation for our first
trans-continental adventure.., so I guess now is the calm before the storm of activity and fun! It's really wonderful that so many of Area 00 who cannot do the drive to Marrakech are flying in to join us for the weekend. It's going to be a lot of fun and i can't wait!
I'd like to end this month by congratulating the entire Aston Martin team on their great performance in Bahrain, truly inspiring!
