Area 20 Goenrousen House Charity Open Garden

Area 20 members Paul and Jenny Richards opened their 10-acre gardens in Cornwall on behalf of the Cornwall Wildlife Trust charity. The afternoon was well supported by fellow members from Cornwall and Devon and the sun shone! This was the first time the gardens had been opened to the Trust and there were approximately 400 visitors. The Trust raised over £3500 including £1073 just on teas and cakes!!!
The money raised will help fund important work for nature in Cornwall, including (but not limited to) the protection of more than 5,500 acres of land across 59 nature reserves, support to farmers and fishermen to increase sustainable practices, and projects to reintroduce and / or support species that could play a vital role in nature’s recovery, such as beavers. Our thanks to the AMOC 20 members who came and gave their support. Visitors loved the display.
