Area 15 Rep | Published on 4/1/2021

It seems that things are becoming clearer with regards to when we can hold our Area meetings and events, the Road out of Lockdown may change over the next few months, so I will keep you up to date.

If everything goes well, I suspect there may be a flurry of events in the second half of the year to meet the pent up demand  from everyone. I’m planning to fit in as many as possible, so you will have plenty of choice of venues and types of event and will spread them around the Area to allow as many of you as possible to join in.

If any of you have ideas for what you would like to do from drive outs, visits to attractions, picnics, or other activities that are not car related, such as wine tastings, bowling, boat trips etc. then please let me know at area15@amoc.org .

It looks like the earliest "proper" Area 15 meetings we will be able to hold, are likely to be towards to end of June but some non AMOC events may be held before then and those I know about are listed in the  calendar I circulate.

One such non AMOC event is Auto Royale on 16th to 18th July, which is being held at Waddesdon Manor in Area 10, and neither HQ or Areas 10 or 15 will have an official presence, so please use the link in the calendar for more info and to book tickets. NOTE: the main car park is a shuttle bus ride away from the displays.

The April meeting will be held on 29th April via Zoom, when I hope to have a speaker to entertain you, along with the usual Area 15 banter.

Meanwhile please be patient, as Andrew and I have a duty of care as club officials to ensure your safety and we are as keen as you to meet up and resume Area 15 activities.
