The St John Horsfall Trophy Race 2023

The St John Horsfall Trophy race was held during the BDC event at Silverstone on 12 Aug 2023 and I am very pleased to report that it was, for the first time in years, a single marque race - 18 cars lined up on the grid and after some extremely close racing, Alan Middleton, in Red Dragon, passed David Freeman in the Spa Special, coming out of the very last corner before the chequered flag. Alan also took home St John Horsfall Trophy in the handicap race as the most improved driver - a deserving winner, especially as it was Alan’s first race following a skiing accident last winter. Third place in the overall race went to Darren Turner in LM4 and Robert Blakemore was 4th.
