Following our very successful joint meeting last year with the Bentley Drivers Club (BDC) at Haighton Manor they have invited us to join them at one of their events this year.
BDC Members, friends and AMOC Area 9 members are welcome to their exciting new member owned concours venue. The now Declassified Hack Green Secret Nuclear Bunker, Nr Nantwich, Cheshire ( www.hackgreen.co.uk ) The day will start with a meeting at the bunker complex car park with coffee/tea & biscuits . A short “ treasure “ run, about 1 & a bit hours out and 1 & bit hours return awaits attendees with prizes. In the afternoon they be holding an informal concours with a Hog Roast of Slowly Flame Roasted Pig with Freshly Home Made Apple Sauce & Rich Sage & Onion Stuffing (defiantly not PAXO), Golden Crisp Bubbly Crackling, Hand Dressed Green Leaf Salad & Gourmet Coleslaw all served with floury baps and Tea & Coffee. (Vegetarian option will be available). The Hog Roast will be held in the Hangar in case of inclement weather. Attendees will then be able to enter through the massive blast doors and explore the labyrinth of the 35000 sq ft underground Nuclear War Headquarters all afternoon and experience the country’s preparations for Nuclear War, see Real Weapons of Mass Destruction and experience what it would be like to be near a Nuclear Detonation in our newly installed state of the art “Nuclear Shelter Experience“. People will collate back in the Hangar in the afternoon for the concours winners Trophy & Rosettes.
There will separate winner and runner-up prizes for the best Bentleys and Aston Martins. The tea/coffee and drive can of course be skipped for those living or travelling from further away.
The cost is £40pp and some details below and further details will be provided later when available to those who sign up. It is being organised by BDC member Rodney Siebert who owns the venue.
