Annual Dinner 1 November 2025 Down Hall Hotel

The Club's Annual Dinner took place in early November at the country house Down Hall Hotel in Essex. Its Bridgeman Suite was the perfect and elegant setting for this year's theme of The Great Gatsby.
Most of the guests enjoyed dressing in the theme, with flapper style dresses, white Gangster Spats and Fedora hats. There were plenty of feather boas and head-dresses on show, most noticeably adorned by the Show Girl dancers who entertained us during the Pommery Champagne Reception and after dinner with their specially choreographed Charleston dance routines.
The suite was specially dressed with a special "Speakeasy" entrance, complete with swag bags, fire pits and mug shots. After a delicious meal, guests enjoyed playing at the casino tables and took to the dance floor well into the night.
