I can't believe it has been a month since our last drinks but that is probably because there have been so many things happening this month. We have had Le Mans Classic with John Martin in his Aston Martin Mk1 DB2/4, the British Grand Prix (and associated pub viewing for those who couldn't make it to the track), the Goodwood Festival of Speed where a number of our cohort had the VIP AM treatment, a few opportunities to wet the (cylinder) heads of new editions to our Aston families and many smaller groups getting together and having unplanned, ad-hoc fun!
Coming up in July and August the club have stands at Simply Aston and the Silverstone Festival and Area 00 will likely be present in some sort of capacity. Personally, I have signed up for 3 nights camping with my son during the Silverstone Festival so if you see me there be sure to give me a wide berth!
In September we have a number of members planning to attend the Austria trip as part of the 90th Anniversary celebrations and the International Concours and we are also planning a visit to the Royal Hospital Chelsea to spread some Aston Martin cheer - details to come later.
We will be hosting drinks at the RAC Pall Mall most likely on the Terrace if we can get space or in the Club Lounge from 6.30pm on Thursday 17th July 2025. For new attendees you can normally ask the staff in the Lounge where the Aston Martin lot are if you can’t spot us.
Due to the holiday season, we normally give the drinks a miss in August. However, never say never and keep your eye out on the communication channels for any last-minute changes.
