Two stunning DB6s from Newport Pagnell were honoured on Tuesday, 3 June, at Aston Martin Day among the approximately 40 Aston Martin participants in London. A glance at the two DB6s, which were exhibited at the London Concours last week, reveals Mike Bradly Russell's exceptional DB6 Volante Vantage with its high degree of originality and very rare green paintwork with gold effect, as well as Nicholas Walton's beautiful DB6 Mk2 Vantage Saloon in the rare and impressive colour Garrison Green. Both, in perfect concours condition, were expertly presented at the Concours by Stephen Archer.
Mike's DB6 was awarded the winner's rosette, while Nicholas received the ‘Highly Commended’ rosette. Congratulations to both of you.
Mike's DB6 Volante Vantage is well known from numerous concours events. Nicholas' beautiful DB6 Saloon Vantage was produced in Garrison Green in the autumn of 1970 and fitted with Neutral Hides (VM 846) interior. The engine was upgraded to 4.2 litres in 2020. The original keys are still existing, as are the tool kit, jack and hammer. And most importantly, Nicholas also uses his DB6 on the road. That's what it was built for.
Best wishes
Alexander
