v600 on ebay and the v600 engine
« on: February 01, 2013, 12:23:18 AM »
hello does anyone know the history of this car

eBay auction: #250768613751

is it true what they say re this car being better equipped than a standard v600

this company also has a v600 engine to sell at a crazy price

will the v600 engine fit into the engine bay of a 1970s/1980s aston martin vantage ?

thanks

A previous owner is from these parts and may respond.

There is not really such a thing as a standard V600.  This has had the full DD pack installed, but don't believe the 'handful of cars' on the site unless you are an alien with weird hands n shit.  The obvious difference is the auto 'box.  Nardi wheel is on a few.  Whether it is better than the original is not difficult to argue.  Whether it fits well in this car with the burr wood is more difficult.

I always wonder about such places - the buy-back guarantee worries me, let alone selling such a car through eBay.  And then there's the difference between the eBay 68,988 and the website 98,888 prices.  And why xx,x88?  All a bit strange.

'WE SELL FOR LESS THAN OTHER DEALERS AS WE SPECIALISE IN THIS MODEL...'.  Interesting business model !   I'm sure Des Smail, Nicholas Mee and Richard Williams are trembling in their boots...

Their buy-back terms are suspect too, notwithstanding their poor English (that may 'Null & Void!' them anyway).

Strange thing is their Vantage Volante, one of a few factory supplied conversions, was up for sale for 68,000 a few years back. These guys purchased it and have kept putting the price up to its current absurdly high level. One of the other few was sold a year or so ago for no more than70,000.

They also have my old 6.3 liter V8 Vantage Volante for sale at a very robust price.

I am not sure that these guys are for real.

The owner of this enterprise is a club member and regularly visits Area 7 events.

I suspect that English is not his first language, but I believe the guy is genuine.
