Following on from the undoubted success of our previous Blyton Park Trackdays, we shall be returning this year. We are aiming for a cost of around £180 per car and driver with optional extras of additional driver £25, passenger £10 and instructor sessions £35. The final arrangements will depend on numbers but you will be guaranteed lots of track time. Hopefully we will again be able to engage the services of the excellent Mark Hales as instructor, along with another if numbers require. The circuit can easily accommodate 30 cars and still provide almost unlimited track time for all those participating, so don’t miss out on this chance to enjoy your car. The event is primarily designed for road legal cars and although we would like to see lots of Aston’s you can take part in any make of car, you do not have to have previous trackday experience. In terms of equipment, all you will require is a crash helmet, a motorcycle one is acceptable and some will be available for hire at the circuit. You will also need to produce a current driving license.
Blyton Park Circuit is located in Lincolnshire DN21 3PE on the Old Blyton airfield. The track is tarmac, not concrete as some airfield circuits, and there are plenty of run off areas and an absence of solid objects, so ideal for beginners but also fast and technical enough for the more experienced driver. The on-site facilities are excellent and overnight camping/campervan can be accommodated, including electrical hook ups, there is also local accommodation available. If you are insured through Locktons, you will probably be covered for trackdays, but please check. Other insurers also offer trackday cover.
If you wish to take part in this is event please register with me, stating your name, Membership number, AMOC Area, car details and your requirements. I will require an initial deposit of £50 to secure your place, with the balance payable in early June.
