The AMOC Cornwall Extravaganza Weekend - Overview

Friday 15th to Sunday 17th September 2017

Being held over the weekend of 15th September 2017 you can display your car in the extraordinary Cornwall countryside or along the stunning bays of the coast.  Home of the legendary King Arthur, Cornwall has much to offer and the south coast has so many beautiful fishing villages to explore such as Looe, Polperro and Mevagissey, the opportunities are endless.  You could:

Walk across Bodmin Moor or visit Roughtor and Brown Willy, home of filming for Poldark.

Maybe visit the Padstow area, the home of 2 Michelin star Chefs (Paul Ainsworth and Nathan Outlaw) and the renowned Rick Stein

Take the ferry to Rock, Cornwall’s answer to Sandbanks!

Walk over the rope bridge to Tintagel Island, or walk along the bracing Atlantic coast to Boscastle, or strap the surf board to the top of the Aston and hit the surf at the place known as the “king of the waves”, Newquay?

Come and join us for a long weekend with AMOC in the land of Pasties and Cornish Cream Teas, where we hope to show AMOC at its finest, meeting Members throughout the weekend and embracing everything Cornwall has on offer!

Friday 15th September

Prideaux Place

£17.50 pp

During the afternoon, we will be gathering at Prideaux Place, Padstow for a private and unique tour of the house and gardens, followed by a Cornish cream tea and an opportunity to either watch the deer or feed the deer that roam around the park.
Prideaux Place has been owned and lived in by the Prideaux-Brune family for fourteen generations.  Their Cornish origins date back to the 11th Century, and it was during 1931 the Prideaux-Brune family injected the cash to save Aston Martin and in 1935 along with his workshop manager Cuthbert Marc Anthony, known to all as ‘Dick’ Anthony joined with Mortimer Morris Goodall and others to form the AMOC. Therefore, it will be a wonderful opportunity for Members not only to see this spectacular house, but to acquaint themselves with the Aston Martin and Club memorabilia still held by the family.  The memorabilia is not on general view and has been arranged for us especially with the family.

This can only be booked through the HQ Office (details below)

For further information about the house, please visit their Website:

We will be starting at 6:30pm at the top of the quarry where you will be collected by the Eden train from a designated car park, driven down to the Rainforest Biome, the largest and most spectacular of the Biomes.  Inside you will experience its wonder as you can walk through either at ground level or wander along The Canopy Walkway and for those with an audacious spirit, a chance to cross the “Wobbly Bridge”. Ladies, a change of shoes may be in order! At approximately 7:30pm Members will then be taken via Eden’s train to The Gallery for a Taittinger champagne reception, followed by a set three course dinner, with wine at the table, over-looking the Biomes for sunset.
