The Aston Martin Heritage Trust

Another great stride in the development of the AMOC. took place in November 1998 with the formal registration of the Aston Martin Heritage Trust. This new venture was set up to provide a home for the increasing volume of archive material, the many trophies in the care of the Club, the Club Ulster and the maintenance of the register of Aston Martin cars and their owners. In addition, the Trust provides a resource for students and researchers into the history of the motor car and in particular, the Aston Martin. In due course, it is hoped that the Trust will be able to support apprenticeship programmes in the motor industry particularly where Aston Martin cars are concerned.

Six of the eleven Trustees are nominated by the Club Committee of Management from their own ranks. Two are nominated by Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd. and the remaining three are lay persons with specialist professional experience. The Trust manages the Museum and Archive in the Barn it shares with the Club.  The Trust publishes an annual journal, ‘Aston’, a quarterly Newsletter and promotes the annual Dudley Coram Memorial and the Walter Hayes Memorial lectures, all the while supporting the parent organisation.

In addition to the above mentioned Trust publications, the Trust has the responsibility for the publication of the Register of Members Cars.
