At Last! Area 15 were able to meet up for our July meeting, at the Art Deco, Aviator Hotel at Sywell Aerodrome. As I couldn't attend, Assistant Rep Andrew Jones made sure everyone was welcomed despite having a knee operation two days before. Thanks Steve Beale for being Andrew's "taxi driver".
26 members and 16 Astons attended plus Adrian Wayforths' Jaguar i-Pace which was excused, as he has recently sold his Concours winning DB9 Volante to fund the purchase and refurbishment of his recently acquired V8 Oscar India.
New members who attended were, Steve Beale and John Sykes (both DB11s), David & Sharon Thornton (DB9), Gary Aram & Mark Williams (Both V12S Vantages) - it was great to have you all along and I look forward to meeting you myself.
On Saturday 25th September we are joining forces with the Shuttleworth Collection and The British Rotorcraft Association to celebrate the release of the new bond film. At the time of writing we have 208 cars booked.
The Shuttleworth Collection is the home to "Little Nellie" the Autogyro from the film You Only Live Twice, which will be on display outside the hangers. See the separate article in the August edition of AM News for full details and how to attend. NOTE: the date in that article is incorrect - it is the 25th September NOT the 5th.
