This months Area 15 news is a little later than usual due to various aspects of life getting in the way, plus I also wanted to be sure of what the latest guidelines from the Government were.
There are still no events being organised as a result of the Covid-19 restrictions and the following events have been cancelled/postponed:
- Cancelled - Area 15 Xmas Jumper Meeting at the Five Bells - virtual meeting is being organised - watch your inbox for details.
- Postponed - Area 15 Xmas Party - rescheduled to 11/12/2021. Thank you to Mary Antcliff for negotiating with the venue and making the arrangements.
However, I have arranged an Area 15 Zoom Meeting for Thursday 5th November at 19:30hrs to 21:00hrs. This is going to utilise a Zoom account that AMOC HQ have arranged for us to use.
I'm not sure how many of you will join and it will be very much a bit of trial and error and will depend on your connection speed.
I intend to discuss next year and the potential plans for it subject to Covid-19 restrictions - my initial thoughts are that it may well be that we can't have events/meetings until the spring, but I sincerely hope this won't be the case. Hopefully most of what was planned for this year will be transferred to 2021.
Now we have this facility, I will look to arrange further meetings like this and more than once a month if possible.
The monthly AM News reports are becoming harder to write but I would like to keep our Area's content full and would like help from you to provide some content. Subjects can be about how you became involved/interested in Aston Martins, acquired your car(s), amusing situations with your car etc. As a guideline about 200 to 250 words would be good.
Like you all, I'm disappointed that the situation has deteriorated again, but rest assured as soon as it is possible to have our events once more, I will let you know.
