On a slightly damp Saturday morning we met at the Princess Yachts production facility Newport Street Plymouth.
We were all welcomed by Bill Barry and Richard Clarke of Princess Yachts with Tea, coffee and a nice selection of Danish pastries, followed by a very informative presentation by Bill. We were then given a guided tour through the massive production warehouses where some of their multi million pound yachts are assembled, built and launched.
We then had a short drive to The Royal William Yard were we had a reserved area ( on double yellow lines!! ) to park and display our Astons.
Then a short walk to Le Vignoble Restaurant for lunch and wine tasting. Yannick the French owner of Le Vignoble gave us a very informative and interesting talk and tasting on English wines, this coming from a Frenchman was very different.
Mid afternoon we were then free to explore the rest of the Royal William Yard and drive home.
