The Shelsley Trust has launched an excellent film called "The first 99 years". Surprisingly enough the film is a celebration of the first 99 years of Shelsley Walsh, featuring footage from the Edwardian era running right through to the current hill record breaking run in 2003. There are shots of, or interviews with, all of the hill climb champions. It tells the continuous story of this unique venue.
 
The 60 minute file includes some superb footage which brilliantly captures the atmosphere of the hill. Whilst it doesn't feature any Astons, it does include many of the drivers that raced Astons in the 1930's and 1950's. The on-car shots are excellent and give a great sense of what it must be like to compete on the hill.
 
All proceeds from sales of this film will go towards obtaining a lease for "the next 99 years".
