Following a very successful inaugural event in 2011, where pre-war cars were the focus, we are returning to Pentillie Castle, near St. Mellion, Cornwall on 27 August.
DB4, 5 and 6 model Astons will be the feature cars of the 2012 event. The South West Trophy will be awarded to the best car from that era, and the display will be open to all Members from all Areas.
The day will comprise a champagne reception, sumptuous barbecue, jazz band, charity auction and raffle (in aid of Help for Heroes) and a very special opportunity to drive the hill climb route in your own car (limited places).
The AMOC event will follow the Pentillie Festival of Speed
(Saturday/Sunday 25/26 August).
The Pentillie FoS encompasses a hill climb event on both days, as well as associated displays of fine, classic and performance cars, Fl simulators, laser clay shooting, trade stands and delicious food and drink.
We hope that the Hill Climb will include a class for AMOC Members (open to all marques not just Astons).
Anyone interested in the Hill Climb should keep an eye on the Pentillie Festival of Speed website
. Tickets and entry forms will be available shortly. An MSA non-race national `EC licence will be required, as well as safety gear including helmets, overalls and gloves. These should be available for hire if required.
Members interested in joining Area 20 for the Monday event should email Richard Pinkett, Joint Area Rep
, for information on how to secure tickets, and to be included in monthly updates.
