Welcome to Area 9indent1Diaryindent1Photo Galleryindent1Reportsindent1

For the United Kingdom Counties of Lancashire, Cheshire & Cumbria.
Your area representative is Tony Armstrong assisted by Simon Armstrong

Welcome
...to the Area 9 homepage.

Being creatures of habit, the members of Area 9 tend to meet on the first Wednesday of every month. We have settled at the Whipping Stocks Inn just off the A50 Knutsford-to-Holmes Chapel road where you can find us in the bar by following the smell of petrol. There are details and directions in the Diary section. Pub food (of a very good standard) is available.

Area 9 has a wide variety of owners and an even wider variety of cars, so if you are thinking about buying an Aston and would like some fairly impartial advice on running and maintaining a particular model, we can probably come up with someone who can help.

Regular events in Area 9 include a Christmas function, Summer barbecue, the "Do It In The Dark" concours at the September meeting and of course the monthly meetings.

If competition and oily bits are your thing, our Area Representative Tony Armstrong may be familiar to some of you through racing successes in his 1933 Le Mans. With the aid of son Simon (see below), he has rebuilt, maintained and developed the Le Mans into the quickest pre-War Aston in the known universe.

Our Deputy Area Rep is another Armstrong, Simon, noted above as another pre-War (cars, not him) ninja.

There are owners of Astons of most of the main groupings (Pre War, DB, V8, DB7 and "V" cars) at most meetings, so you're likely to find at least one kindered spirit at each meeting.

If Astons set your pulse racing then come along to an area meeting and meet the Area 9 members. We're a friendly bunch and we don't bite!
