...to the Area 4 webpages, covering Avon and Somerset.
Area 4 holds its monthly meetings during spring and summer at weekends so that members will have a chance to bring along their Astons. These are usually at places of interest to members and their families.
Over the last few years we have held meetings at Hestercombe House, Yeovilton Air base, the RAC Centre at Bristol, the Fenix Carriage Company, Hatch Court, and the Thornfalcon Classic event near Taunton. In addition we have barbeques at members homes and excellent Christmas dinners/lunches at a variety of venues.
Our monthy pub ('noggin & natter') meetings are held at the Carpenter's Arms, Stanton Wick, near Bristol, on the second Wednesday of each month from 8 pm (except December). This venue has plenty of parking spaces and excellent food and liquid refreshments.
Meetings are informal and we hope enjoyable, with members often bringing along friends with an enthusiasm for Astons and other interesting cars. We usually see around ten to fifteen members at the evening meetings and twenty five to thirty at most summer events. The Area has a very good record of achievement in club concours events, and some success in track and hillclimb competition.
New members are particularly welcome to come along to our meetings, you don’t have to arrive in an Aston, or even own one, having a passion for Astons is enough!
