Welcome to Area 3indent1Diaryindent1

For the United Kingdom Counties of Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire and Rutland.
Your area representative is Mark Sayers

Welcome
...to the Area 3 webpages, covering Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire and Rutland.

Area 3 is geographically one of the largest UK regions of the AMOC , covering the 4 large counties of the East Midlands plus the UK’s smallest county, ( and some say the best! ), namely Rutland.

We have a very happy and sociable group of regulars who enjoy our monthly pub meetings and also the extra events throughout the year ( see our Diary page ). We are all linked by our passion for Aston Martins, whether owners or not, and we are fortunate to have representative cars from pre-war through to a DB9 and Vanquish.

Anyone who would like to come along to a meeting to ‘road-test’ us, would be made most welcome (prospective Members included). You would certainly not be left in a corner! We encourage family participation by having a meal together at the start of the meetings and not talking ‘cars’ all night. We don’t want to be perceived as car nerds huddled round the bar!
We are very fortunate to have the motor racing circuits of Donington Park and Mallory Park in our Area, together with the sprint track of Curborough just over the border in Staffs. Many of our local Members enjoy attending the AMOC Race Meetings,  some brave souls also compete in them!  We also have Members who enter their cars in the national Concours competitions.

The AMOC was founded in 1935 and although Area 3 was not even a twinkle in anyone’s eyes then, we are mindful of the Club’s root philosophy which was written 69 years ago and still holds good today – ‘ The Club is established to promote the sport and pastime of motoring’….. ‘ to develop interest in the Aston Martin motor car’……’and to develop social intercourse between Members ‘

Whether you are a Member or not, but would like to come along to a meeting, please contact the Area Rep, Mike Talbot or Philip Law, the Assistant Rep, for more information. If you are a current Member, we would welcome any constructive comments or suggestions to make us an even better Area.  It is your Club, don’t be shy!
