At the annual Aston Martin Racing awards dinner, held at Gaydon, Aston Martin's
Headquarters on 11th November 2010, a new Official Aston Martin Racing Junior Team
has been announced - Generation AMR. Focussed on young driver development, the
team has been born from the joining of two family teams that competed against each
other in the inaugural Aston Martin GT4 Challenge of Great Britain.

Anthony Scragg and James Appleby were the class of the field in 2010, racing wheel to
wheel all season. An exploratory race in the British GT Championship showed their
potential as a pairing, which in turn led to them teaming up for the final round of the
Challenge, at which they scored an emphatic win after dominating the competition all
weekend. For 2011, they will form a permanent partnership, racing together in the
latest evolution of the Aston Martin GT4 race car, prepared and run by David Appleby
Engineering.

Generation AMR, based near Tiverton in Devon, will compete in the 2011 GT4 European
Cup, with the backing of The Spa Hotel, Royal Tunbridge Wells, and the Hardinge
Group. The team will focus on the development of Anthony and James' talents with the
aim of progressing to the FIA GT3 Championship in 2012, while developing other young
drivers in the GT4 class next year and beyond. Generation AMR's programme will
include performance mentoring, media training, technical analysis skills and fitness
coaching to ensure that the drivers preparation is second to none, with results to
match.
