 The V8 Volante, the open equivalent to the V8 Coupe with the same styling touches and mechanicals. But just to be a little different, the Volante was given an extra 200 mm to the wheelbase and thus also an extra 200 mm legroom for the rear seat passengers. The long chassis V8 Volante can already be considered a classic with just 63 examples having been produced up until 2000.
With the assistance of Works Service, the very last eight coach built V8's were all Volantes fitted with the twin supercharged Vantage engine. A single example was built on the long chassis, and the remaining seven became the short chassis special edition V8 Vantage Volantes. Although only built a few short years ago, these eight cars have become almost legendary and will remain highly sought after for many years to come.
