A new era has dawned for Aston Martin with a move to a new production facility at Gaydon, in the heart of Warwickshire. This coincides with the launch of a new Vertical Horizontal platform upon which all future Aston Martins will be based. The first model on the new platform was the successor to the DB7, the DB9. A smaller, entry-level model, based on the concept AMV8 Vantage was launched in 2005.
