Newport Pagnell V8s 1969-1989

Late in 1969, the muscular DBS V8 was finally unveiled and made available for sale to a wealthy few. Although capable of almost 160 mph, perhaps the fastest car of it's time, the V8 was almost a 4 seater. Shortage of cash throughout the 1970's and 1980's meant that the V8 lasted far longer in production than could ever have been imagined when it was launched. But the car steadily evolved into an awesome 170 mph super car, the Vantage, the elegant convertible Volante and the brutal V8 Vantage Zagato. Not to forget the futuristic Lagonda, which gave the company a huge lift not so long after it almost disappeared into bankruptcy.
