A Luxury Event for a Special Anniversary 7-20 May 2010

The 75th Anniversary Tour of Spain is a 13 night event to celebrate this prestigious anniversary with great driving, extra special hotels and outstanding cuisine.

After a ferry crossing to Spain wewill be staying at some of the best hotels in the country, each boasting the exceptional gastronomy
for which Spain is fast developing a reputation. The stops will allow access to some of the most romantic parts of old Spain, Salamanca, Seville, Toledo and Bilbao and San Sebastian in the Basque
country will all be easily reached. We also hope to meet some Portuguese members whilst on tour.

Each stop is two nights and at each hotel there will be the opportunity to sample the best of what the chef can do. Two hotels boast their own wineries, one, the highly prestigious Marques de Riscal; wine tasting will be organised at both. The high point may well be Hacienda Benazuza. This hotel is regularly used by the Spanish Royal Family and boasts an ElBulli Restaurant (the parent restaurant in San Sebastian has been voted best restaurant in the world 5 times since 2002) There will be a choice of meal every night and some dinners will be themed to reflect key elements of the history of the club and the marque.

7 May Depart Portsmouth by P&O Ferries
9 May Arrive Bilbao and drive to Salamanca for two nights at Hacienda Zorita
11 May Drive to Caceres for two nights at Hotel Fontecruz Palacio de Aranales
13 May Drive to Seville for two nights at Hacienda Benazuza
15 May Drive to Punte de Arzobispo for two nights at Valdepalacios Hotel Gourmand
17 May Drive to Elciego for two nights at Hotel Marques de Riscal
19 May Embark at Bilbao
20 May Late afternoon arrival at Portsmouth.
